Making Payments (Tenant Guide)

How to Pay Rent

As a tenant, you have several easy ways to pay your rent through DoorLedgers.

Paying Online

  1. Log in to the Tenant Portal
  2. Click “Pay Now” on your dashboard or go to “Payments”
  3. Select the payment you want to make
  4. Choose your payment method:
    • Card – Credit or debit card
    • Bank Account – Direct ACH transfer
  5. Review the amount (including any fees)
  6. Click “Submit Payment”

Paying via Email Link

If your landlord sends you a payment link:

  1. Click the link in your email
  2. You’ll go directly to the payment page (no login required)
  3. Enter your payment information
  4. Submit your payment

ACH Payment Processing

Bank (ACH) payments take 2-3 business days to process:

  • Your payment shows as “Processing” immediately
  • The bank verifies and transfers the funds
  • Once complete, it shows as “Paid”
Note: You cannot make another payment while one is processing to prevent accidental double payments.

P2P Payments

If your landlord accepts Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp:

  1. Send the payment through your preferred app
  2. Return to DoorLedgers and mark the payment as sent
  3. Your landlord will confirm receipt

Payment Confirmation

After every payment, you’ll receive:

  • On-screen confirmation with details
  • Email receipt for your records
