DoorLedgers is a comprehensive property management solution designed by landlords, for landlords. This guide will help you get started quickly.
What You Can Do with DoorLedgers
- Manage Properties – Track buildings, units, and all property details in one place
- Handle Tenants – Maintain tenant information, contact details, and lease agreements
- Collect Rent – Accept payments via credit card, bank transfer (ACH), or P2P methods like Venmo and Zelle
- Track Expenses – Log and categorize all property-related expenses
- Process Repair Requests – Let tenants submit maintenance requests and track their resolution
- Generate Reports – View income, expenses, and profit reports for tax time
Getting Started Steps
- Create Your Account – Visit app.doorledgers.com/users/register to sign up. You can use your email or sign in with Google.
- Add Your First Building – From the dashboard, click “Add Building” to enter your property’s information including address and description.
- Create Units – Within each building, add individual units (apartments, condos, houses) with their details like rent amount and bedrooms.
- Add Tenants – Enter your tenant information including contact details and emergency contacts.
- Set Up Leases – Create lease agreements linking tenants to units with start dates, end dates, and rent amounts.
- Configure Payments – Set up Stripe Connect to start accepting online rent payments from your tenants.
Tip: Start with just one property to get familiar with the system, then add more as you get comfortable.
